The International Center of Research for the New Technologies (C.I.R.N.E.T.),
promotes the divulgation and the application of the Informatics, of the Artificial
Intelligence, of the Multimediality and of the Telematics.
The sectors of the application are the enviroment, the culture, the education,
the massmedia and the tourism.
The products and the services are offered to public and private organizations,
entreprises, indipendent professionals.
The center is in Bologna, in the university and commercial area.
The main aims of C.I.R.N.E.T. are the develop of the theoretical and experimental
research and the application of the new technologies in relations to the
new emerging social needs.
Complement of the Center is the C.I.R.N.E.T. LAB., that produces prototypes
and applications of the new technologies.
The activity of C.I.R.N.E.T. is developed by programms, in the framework
of which specific projects are developed and at which experts and researchers
work.
The four main sectors in which the activity of C.I.R.N.E.T. is articulated
are:
the innovative research about Artificial Intellegence and about
the Multimediality
the production of prototypes and data-banks;
the telematic applications;
the divulgation and the training.
Actually C.I.R.N.E.T. has produced three prototypes of programms
for the Artificial Intelligence :
the Control Languages
the Integrated Lexicon
the Textual Method
and six telematic applications:
the catalogue of the historical-documentary exibition : "26
